Miracles of Saints Parthenios and Evmenios of Koudoumas (2 of 3)

...continued from part one.

Demetrios H., a Pension Inspector for the Hellenic Railways Organization, is a resident of Agiou Nikolaou in Crete, and narrated the following:

In December 2007, while doing some examinations for two epidermal abscesses, the doctors diagnosed that a biopsy should be done, so they were also done and the result was that they were carcinomas in an advanced state.

The oncologist's decision was for me to go to Athens immediately and to be operated on by a dermatologist. The date of the operation was set and it would be Thursday.

On Wednesday night I bid farewell to my children and grandchildren because I was leaving very early in the morning and I fell asleep.

In the morning I saw in my dream that I was helping out in some church and that I was going to the cupboard to put away an encyclical after it was read by the Priest of the church. As I was walking in the middle of the church, a Priest stopped me, hugged me, leaned down and kissed me on the face and whispered in my ear: "Thank you very much. I am Evmenios. Come to my house and ask to venerate my relics and everything will be fine."

I woke up, crossed myself and tried to explain the dream. In the morning I called Fr. G. M., priest of the Church of the Holy Unmercenaries in Agiou Nikolaou of Crete and I mentioned my dream to him, who told me how happy he was because a few days ago in the Church of the Holy Unmercenaries where I am also a commissioner, we had presented for veneration the sacred relics of the Holy Fathers Parthenios and Evmenios. I had decorated them with flowers and incensed them many times. It is happy news because Father G. told me to take care of myself and everything will be fine.

Indeed, everything went well, thanks to the Saints and fortunately I was given the opportunity and I went to the Monastery as the Saint asked me and I venerated the icon and their sacred relics.

A pilgrim to Koudoumas Monastery who is from Heraklion, Crete recounted the following:

One night in the summer of 2010 I fell asleep, and in the morning I saw in my dream an old ascetic, I asked him who he was and he answered me: "I am Saint Parthenios from Koudoumas," and then with a stern look he told me to go to Koudoumas to "confess your sins because great suffering awaits you, to confess also for the theft you have committed." Then I began to tremble all over and the Saint tells me "you tremble for two reasons: a) to understand the magnitude of your sin, to feel the truth of what happened but also how much the impenitent tremble and are tortured in hell and b) to not forget to go to Koudoumas to confess.

Terrified, I woke up and actually remembered that many years ago I had stolen something important.

The following Sunday I went to the Koudoumas Monastery with my family and we all went to confession and as the Saint told me, we felt very peaceful and were filled with joy in our souls. I thank the Saint who led me to find my salvation.

Sophia D., a resident of Rethymnon, narrates:

In February 2010, I came with my husband to the Koudoumas Monastery for the first time, we were desperate because of a great ordeal of about ten years for our son E.D. in his personal life, which had led all of us in the family to quarrels, fuss, sadness and many other problems.

This problem led our son to avoid us and to lean on himself until he arrived at a very disappointed state and to leave for Athens without communicating with us. It was then that we decided to go to Koudoumas to pray to the Panagia and the Saints to avoid our problem and to give us back our initial love and unity in our home. We went and prayed and leaving the Koudoumas Monastery and before we arrived at home, my phone rang and - O of the miracle! - our son was completely changed, talking to us with a lot of warmth and love and telling us that he is coming back to our house. Since then, the son has indeed radically changed his life but also directed his steps closer to the Church.

We praise the Most Holy Theotokos and the Holy Fathers Parthenios and Evmenios for their Grace and Help that we are all together again, more united and loving than before. I thank the Saints for that.

Miss S.L., a relative of E.P., and resident of Messara in Heraklion, Crete narrates:

In 2002 there was a serious traffic accident in Heraklion, Crete, a family of five (the couple with their boy and two girls) crashed with a truck. The couple and one girl were slightly injured, the boy of the family died instantly, the other girl suffered a serious skull fractures with multiple bruises as well as terrible injuries all over the body, and according to the doctors there was no hope of life (she was clinically dead). Then the parents of the child asked the fathers of the Monastery to go to Heraklion University Hospital where they were being treated and to make the sign of the cross over E.P.

Indeed, with the cross that Saint Parthenios himself used to cross people and keep in the Monastery as well as with his sacred relic, the fathers went and crossed her, praying for her health, and - O of the miracle! - within a few days the child came out of the intensive care unit and in a short time she was cured and today she has overcome the danger.
